The dining room at Maplewood is located in a sunny corner of the house. A full breakfast is served family style every morning. In addition to breakfast, guests may help themselves to tea which we keep set up in a special corner. There is also a small refrigerator to keep drinks chilled with corkscrews and wine glasses available for guests who choose to bring wine or other beverages along.
Our guests love our library. Thousands of volumes of books as well as interesting collections, board games, record albums and magazines entice guests to sit and linger.
The Palladian window installed in 1847 looks down on Maple Street which at that time was the center of our town. We have created a tiny sitting nook in front of the window and guests like to sit there and look out though the wavy old glass windows or leaf through a book. This sitting area is located on the second floor at the front end of the hall.
