Your hosts are Bob and Charlotte Baillargeon.  We have been welcoming guests to Maplewood since 1988.  We can remember our beginning as though it was yesterday......We had prepared our home for guests and our oldest son had just graduated high school and enlisted in the Army.  We were so blue and missed him terribly when suddenly.......a knock on the door!   "Do you have rooms for some tired travelers?"   Our first guests....just driving by on "holiday" from Australia saw our sign and stopped to inquire.  The rest is, as they say, history. 

We love hosting our B&B and have met folks from, literally, all over the world.  It never ceases to amaze us as to how we, in our little Berkshire village, in our own little corner of the world, have so many visitors from so far.  Japan, England, Brazil, Russia, Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, Germany, ............ Our closest guests were a couple from around the corner who wanted to spend their anniversary away from home, with no phone or children; but who didn't have the time to get away.  So many guests have become friends and many return year after year.  Our friends' children attending one of the five camps in town, before we know it, become counselors.  We see families whose children have grown up and married and now come as guests themselves.

Innkeeping has not only filled a life long dream of ours, but has also become a way of life for us.  Our guests give us many compliments, but the one we love the most is that they were comfortable here.  We strive to keep everything crisp and clean, to keep interesting displays and arrangements, to keep our food delicious and most of all to keep our guests comfortable.
